Our staff of 22 includes skilled OT’s who will offer a supportive environment for our new staff member. Our team are skilled in the paediatric field, using a “Team around the Child”, family centred approach across the beautiful Manning and Great Lakes region. The position is available either as a full or part time position and offers a family friendly, flexible workplace.

Early Connections – Manning and Great Lakes is the leading service provider within the region, servicing children 0-12yrs with a diagnosed disability or significantly delayed development. Our mission is to provide a quality early childhood intervention service, which works in partnership with families and the community to improve each child’s participation in inclusive mainstream environments in the Manning, Great Lakes and Gloucester areas.  We are a verified NDIS Service Provider and have been rolled out within this scheme since July 2016.

  • Opportunity to work within a transdisciplinary model, working collaboratively with Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapists, Early Intervention Teacher’s, AHA’s and families.
  • Educational sessions for parents, teachers, preschool staff etc.
  • Working between two sites (Taree and Tuncurry)
  • Using state of the art technology including the Echidna CRM (client record management) system and Ipads.
  • Work with our skilled Booking Officer’s who assist in reducing your workload by scheduling all of your appointments.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have relevant qualifications and registered with Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Have a commitment to Best Practice in Early Childhood Intervention, inclusive practice, family centred approach to service delivery
  • Have excellent communication and documentation skills using technology effectively
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Have a minimum of 1 year experience in disability or paediatrics (desirable not essential)
  • Ability to organise time and set priorities
  • A fundamental understanding of child development
  • Vaccination against COVID-19 is essential under Public Health Orders/ Organisational policy.

Travel is required, your own car and a current driver’s license are a pre-requisite for the position, however use of work vehicle is offered for distance travel. A current Working with Children Check, Police Check and First Aid Certificate is also required.

Part/Full Time status will be negotiated on employment and may be dependent on applicants level of experience. Position will be offered permanent following successful 3mth trial period. Provisional Psychologists may be considered.

The role:

This position is responsible for:

  • Ensuring human rights and organisation values are embedded in and aligned with quality systems.
  • Developing systems and reporting mechanisms to ensure identification of possible quality risks.
  • Ensuring quality reporting systems effectively measure the quality of the service or compliance with contractual obligations, as appropriate.
  • Improving procedures and policies to increase the quality of service delivery, in consultation with relevant stakeholders and measured through customer and staff feedback and survey data.
  • Contributing to and informing budget allocation to ensure appropriate resourcing for quality and compliance systems.
  • Providing appropriate reports and documentation to meet internal and external requirements.
  • Maintaining appropriate records including policies, procedures and statistical data.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum qualifications: Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a related field and extensive professional/ administration /management / Human Resource management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in all areas of administrative procedures, program development, family and community liaison and employees’ professional development.
  • Commercial expertise and background (desirable not essential).
  • Enhanced time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Experience working in partnership with families.
  • Experience in leading a team and the ability to promote open communication in a team environment.
  • Experience in managing a Disability service.
  • Knowledge of NDIS, Disability Standards and Acts.
