The Early Connections Kempsey team recently hosted a networking and training day for local preschools! It was a day filled with knowledge sharing, skill development, and a shared commitment to nurturing our youngest learners.

The focus wasn’t just on curriculum or lesson plans. Important topics like workplace health and well-being for educators were also discussed, recognising the crucial role they play in fostering a positive environment for both themselves and the children.

Additionally, we explored the diverse ways children with ASD experience the world and how these differences might impact their communication and learning.

We practiced Keyword Sign, an excellent communication strategy that benefits all children, regardless of their neurodevelopmental needs.

Participants were eager to learn and share their own experiences and it was encouraging to see the commitment to providing the best possible start for the littlest members of our community.

A big thank you to everyone who participated! We’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to connect with our early childhood education community.
